At this AN HOUR WITH you will meet dancer and choreographer Andreas Haglund, who will share an insight into their artistic practice. Andreas will present the underlying interests, texts, and contexts that inform their current projects. Theoretical texts, somatic references, aesthetic examples, poetry and choreographic methods will be discussed to scratch the surface of how Andreas uses dance and choreography to study the metabolic rift and it’s socio-cultural consequences.

Eco-sexuality, self-realisation/performativity in late capitalism, sound as staged material, somatic magic, songwriting and queer kinships, spaces and angst are topics occupying Andreas at the moment.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Andreas Haglund (SE/DK) works as a freelance dancer, performer and choreographer in and around Stockholm, Copenhagen and Malmö.

Their artistic practice centers explorations of the somatic, material and aesthetic coherences between queer lived experience and the cultural conception of nature. On stage, in dance practice and in text.

He is an active member of Dance Cooperative; a platform, dance studio and venue for dance practice and performance organised by 12 professional artists in Copenhagen. Through this framework he has facilitated several performance events, presenting both his own works and collaborations as well as hosting other artists and their works.

About AN HOUR WITH

Makes space for a short and focused immersion in the work of an artist or artist group. It is an opportunity to meet artists in an informal setting where new conversations about art can flourish. The intention is to cultivate a closer relation to and a greater understanding of different artistic practices and investigations that could inspire the field.
